I have some pretty big things planned for 2017, so I am excited for it to arrive!
In terms of education, I have finally stared a path to chase a dream that I had for 2 years – to complete a stylist course. I signed up to begin an Australian Style Institute course in Feb. This is a pretty big step for me as I can sometimes lack confidence in myself and what I can create, but this blog has given me confidence to pursue that dream.
Ironic Minimalist will feature some changes as the year progresses. I have an amazing lady taking stunning photos of me and I hope to strengthen that bond in 2017 (Reannon Smith, keep an eye on this lady!)
2016 has been great – it gave me new opportunities and the confidence to push myself!
I am also thankful to each and every one of my readers, friends and the people who have helped me along the path of 2016 <3

A shirt and shorts outfit is still a favourite combination of mine. Casual, but cool.

As Melbourne starts to turn up the weather we can all turn to simpler, minimalistic silhouettes to avoid the heat.
I have been after a simple shift dress in black for quite some time now. My search started when I saw a girl walking down the street wearing a simple black shift dress, black boots and a “don’t care” attitude, I instantly wanted a dress like hers.
My search was finally over in early November when Landes Warehouse held their famous Warehouse Sale. Now if you have never been to Landes Warehouse, I urge you to go right now! Their stores are literally jam packed with bargains from brands such as Mink Pink, Somedays Lovin, Evil Twin and my personal favourite, Staple the Label.
After a (free!) hot chocolate and meeting the lovely sales assistants, I was ready to shop.
I am pretty sure I could have done 7+ rounds of the store and STILL find something that I hadn’t seen before! Once I had my hands full it was off the change rooms where the girls were unpacking even more stock!
I selected my top 4 and headed to the counter (I seriously could have chosen 10 more pieces but unfortunately my wardrobe is so beyond full!)
Everyone was so polite and I even got to see old friends (Hey Erin!)
Those 4 pieces are sure to become staple pieces over summer. So make sure you visit Landes Warehouse to pick up some unbelievable bargains for yourself or even Christmas presents.

AKA Addicted to Sample Sales!
Last weekend I visited two sample sales (addicted much?) The BNKR sample sale and the Landes Warehouse sale. In total I scored about 10 new items for less than $100, score!
Below are two of the items from the Landes Warehouse sale. These lace shorts by Staple the Label and a simple white dress also by Staple. Staple is one of my favourite brands and both these pieces are certainly going to be a staple in my wardrobe!
Landes Warehouse is always jam packed with bargain priced clothing from Australian labels such as Mink Pink, Somedays Lovin’, Paint it Red and more! Every time I visit i find another gem for my wardrobe.
I also purchased this classic white tee from the BNKR sample sale. Its a perfect crisp white and can be worn multiple ways, a steal at just $10!
The perfect slouch with the Naked Vice “The Modern” bag <3
Practicing my Evil Glare
I love this dress, it can be worn so many ways. With heels for a night out, with Adidas Superstars (mine are in the mail on their way to me! ) or with a classic slide.
What I Wore:
Leather Jacket from Topshop
White Tee from the BNKR Sample Sale
Lace Shorts from Landes Warehouse
Bag and Wallet from Naked Vice
Pom Pom and Belt from Sportsgirl
